The Role

As a Fund Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the performance of the LendInvest Real Estate Opportunity Fund (REOF) and the Steorra portfolio.

REOF is LendInvest’s flagship fund which invests in real estate project finance and development loans with loan sizes from £3m to £20m. The portfolio has a bias towards residential projects but has also financed student accommodation, hotels, offices, co-living, PRS and industrial property. The fund has a strong track record over 5 years and has now grown to have assets of over £200m.

Steorra is a portfolio of residential development loans which is managed as a separate account. The loans range from £500k to £15m with an existing portfolio of £125m.

What you’ll be doing

  • Portfolio and risk management
    • Reviewing & recommending acquisitions and disposals
    • Overseeing the successful exit of NPLs
    • Managing leverage and cash drag
    • Optimising performance by driving portfolio positioning
    • Managing portfolio covenants
    • Forecasting of performance, liquidity and positioning
  • Working closely with REOF’s third party AIFM (Alter Domus - Luxembourg)
  • Monthly reporting (in Luxembourg) to REOF’s GP Board of Directors
  • Monthly management meetings for Steorra
  • Quarterly report and meeting with lenders for Steorra
  • Working closely with origination teams to ensure that the pipeline of potential investments meets appetite and criteria
  • Working closely with the special servicing and loan recovery team to manage NPLs
  • Working closely with treasury team to manage lender reporting and liquidity
  • Working closely with fund services & fund distribution teams to support investor meetings and reporting
  • Supporting the monthly valuation process
  • Reporting to Head of Capital Markets and Fund Management
  • Reviewing & recommending acquisitions and disposals

  • Managing portfolio covenants
  • Forecasting of performance, liquidity and positioning

What we need you to have

  • Experience in fund management as a fund manager, portfolio manager or experienced assistant fund / portfolio manager that is ready to step up
  • Experience in real estate lending
  • A quantitative / analytical approach
  • Strong leadership skills

  • Experience in Luxembourg domiciled funds
