In this new role reporting to our Chief People Officer, we are now hiring a Director, Employee Communications to build an employee communication strategy that will support our fast-growing, global organization. This hands-on leader will be strategic in developing employee communications plans that will keep Rubrik employees engaged and informed, while aligning to our core RIVET values and greater business objectives. You will partner closely with key People and Executive leaders to craft relevant messaging and build a brand around the Rubrik employee experience.


Where you can make an impact:

  • Develop and launch an employee communications strategy that will reach our global workforce
  • Act as a brand ambassador for our employee experience, making sure communications are relevant and timely
  • Craft compelling content and execute communications via multiple channels including email, company intranet, social media platforms, town hall meetings, and other corporate events
  • Partner with business leadership to craft employee communications that align to our business objectives and RIVET values (Relentlessness, Integrity, Velocity, Excellence and Transparency)
  • Partner with our global People leaders to build a communication strategy following the employee lifecycle and major events/activities throughout the year
  • Coach leaders to ensure relevant communications are appropriately cascaded across the organization
  • Help leverage our growing brand both internally and externally with prospective candidates; continue to build awareness of Rubrik’s employer of choice position locally and regionally

Ideal background:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or another related field
  • 10+ years communications experience supporting employee communications within a global organization; ideally has spent 3-5 years at an agency along with being in-house
  • Experience designing executive leadership narratives to support business objectives in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced organization and able to pivot as the needs of the business change
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling and engaging narratives that are authentic to Rubrik’s culture; leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Project management experience with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to partner with Executive Staff as well as the People Leadership team (Lead People Partners, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Head of L&D, Head of People Operations, etc) locally and globally
  • Ambassador for D&I initiatives and ERGs; help promote and build awareness internally
